Well, welcome back to another episode of Bella in your business. We are road tripping for part two of our road trip. I just finished my time with Liz, and we created a couple hundred pieces of content, whether it be videos for our upcoming classes that we’re doing with pet care team training, or just a bunch of b roll of playing with dogs, feeding dogs, running with dogs, walking with dogs, petting dogs, all the things with dogs. It’s really helpful. Like, you know, like I said, the last podcast, when you have people in your life you can rely on, it’s also, you know, very intentional. We actually had a joke the whole time because she made an itinerary for us, and I know that she was gonna make an itinerary for us, so therefore, I knew I just needed to show up. And if she’s like, hey, record a video on CPR, I was like, absolutely. Give me 1 second.

Collect my thoughts live. You know, like, go. And we’re both very good about taking video footage. Like b roll. B roll is like behind the scenes. It’s not like a talking head or someone’s actually like talking to you or delivering information. It’s more like scanning and the dogs are running, or you’re following someone walking and maybe they’re walking away from the camera doing things like that. That is a lot of, um.

That’s b roll. And that is amazingly useful because you can use that on social media and in like reels. You can put words over it. You can do a voiceover, you can do so many different things with b roll. So the more you have it, the better. Little pro tip. We have a shared album with Maybelle, our incredible social media gal who helps us come to life online on pet care team training. If you want to take a look at it, you can see her work there.

But we, you know, film all this stuff and we put it in a shared album. And the same thing that I do for jump consulting, same thing that Liz does for full fill and fulfilled and start solution, and we just upload them to this shared album so that our social media gal always has that content. Feel free to steal that idea. But I told her about the podcast. I told her that I talked about her a lot. She hasn’t heard it yet, but I am going to post it. I also kind of took to social media yesterday, explained to you all what I was doing, and if you wanted to hear my rambles, and you all overwhelmingly said yes. I got DM’s, I got messages in reply to the original message, and I got some like private messages, too, where it was like, fellow, that’s where we think feel like you’re the most authentic.
And truth be told, that’s where I am usually the most authentic. But it’s also where I’m gonna solicit your help right now. If you’re listening to this podcast and, you know, you want coaching for yourself, you want to get some motivation, inspiration, some how to’s. When I say submit your topics, I really do mean submit them. Because as great as it is to just free flow and talk from the heart, I don’t necessarily always have that for you every week, which is why I do have to, you know, prepare topics and do some research and kind of really put together a show for you. But I’m not opposed to these formats at all. And oftentimes all it takes is you give me a situation or send me a screenshot of something and say, bella, talk to me about this. I’ll be like, alrighty then.

You know, you just get me going with that little, that little spoonful and I will make a whole entire gravy out of it. So today I really feel that where Liz lives, it’s magical. And I’m not saying that, like, to be over the top, I’m literally saying that because it is a very. It’s a feeling that I’ve only felt when I’m in Sedona, where there is, you know, a lot of energy and vortexes there. I’m not sure where you are on the woo scale or how woo I can get with you, but, you know, there is parts of this world where there are more energy and there’s just this expansive feeling where she lives and it’s very peaceful. And the way that I described it twice to her because she lives there now. And I remember a year ago when she moved to the spot, she was always, you know, really reflective about it. And of course, the minute I walked in, I was like, wow, but you, she lives there now and it’s like a normal life for her.

But I felt like a gong was going off in my body that was just vibrating up and down my body and getting everything, like completely in alignment. It was. That’s the best way I can describe it. So if you aren’t any woo woo and you think that that’s.., that I respect it, but, you know, I come from a mindset of a lot of different things and, and the more I grow as a person and heal, the more I kinda of feel that. Which leads me a little bit into this episode. It’s not going to be a woo episode, but it is going to be about your feelings. And I want you to think about it. And I did a little bit of structure.

I’ve got three words for my notes. Are you ready for them? I’m going to tell you this spoiler right now, it’s space, food, and people. And I want to ask you, how do you feel in different spaces? And ultimately, your number one space is where you live, right? And I think many of us have been in places where we haven’t felt comfortable for whatever reason. Pardon me. My goodness. Again, this is real and raw, and we’re just driving up the I ten right now, going back to Phoenix. I’m wondering, I think the easiest way that you can relate to this is as a pet sitter and dog walker, you get to walk into many homes, right? And I remember from my days, and I’m sure you’ve experienced this, there are just some homes that you walk into, and you’re like, wow, I just want to, like, take a nap on your couch. I feel so warm and cozy.

I never want to leave. And then there’s other places that they might look nice, but for whatever reason, like, it just doesn’t settle with your spirit, your body, your emotions, your energy, whatever you want to call it. And I think a lot of times, I mean, obviously, obviously in work, you know, we’re going in and out of home, so it’s not that big of a deal. But taking that example, that, like, little flash in the pan example that you get to witness and taking it into the spaces that you’ve created for yourself, obviously, your home, which I know some people can control and some people can’t control for some extenuating circumstances, or there’s other people that live there, whether they’re little terrorists, kids. I say that lovingly as a mom. Or maybe you just. Maybe you love your partner, but you don’t like them. And they’re not just making your.

Your space nice. It’s not like you just go throw them out in the doghouse and be like, oh, that’s great. But my point in bringing this up today is, um, I want you to stop for a minute and just think about the spaces you’re spending time in. Spaces that you can actually control a little bit more of is like your car. That comes to mind. As I’m in my car, I can control how chaotic or how structured or organized or clean or dirty or good smelling or bad smelling it all is, right? I can. You know, I want you to think about the spaces that you find yourself in frequently. And how do you feel? Maybe it’s your gym, maybe it’s your.
I’m not really sure, honestly. There’s a lot of different spaces. And so as you move through spaces and you. And you explore them, think about, am I happy here? Is there anything you can do to change it? Is there anything you can do to spend more time there, less time there? Or change the space to reflect back to you the type of energy you’re feeling that you want? And obviously, if it’s not good for you, then, like, can we get rid of it? You know, could we be conscious of it? Or are we just trapped in the same rat race because we’ve been doing it forever? Or this is just the way it’s done and this is it, you know, because your spaces can really have an influence on you. It can have an influence on your creativity. It could be maybe where you’re working, maybe where you set up your desk, where you put your laptop or your office area. It has. It has an effect on you.

The type of chair you’re sitting on, the type of desk you have, the setup that you have, the climate, hot, cold, is there a window? You know, I just want you to be aware of it. I want you to be aware of it, because I really do feel like it changes how we perform as humans. The other thing is people, and the other thing is food. So let’s do food first. This is stuff that I’ve been reflecting on. You know, I just. I want you to think about this. I.
I mentioned this a little bit the last podcast. I’ve been trying to make very small changes in my life. Not big ones, just very small. I got the yucca app on my phone. Y u k a, I believe it is. And it’s just, you can see scan things at the grocery store. You scan their. Their.

Their barcodes, and then you decide. It tells you if it’s good, okay, or bad, according to basically poisoning you right now. I know if I were to scan a ton of the stuff in my pantry right now, it probably wouldn’t be all that great, because it’s just what I’ve accumulated. But as I’m at the store and I’m thinking, oh, so I want this label or that label. I can scan it. That’s like one tool that I started doing. Something else that I started doing is really changing what kind of eggs I buy. I mean, that sounds pretty weird, but I also notice I take a conscious effort of when I put it in my body what do I feel like? Same thing with fast food.
I’m not perfect by any means. I still do fast food. I know that in n out or culver’s seems to be better on my stomach, and that I know it’s. It’s actually uncanny. If I were to eat McDonald’s in hours later, no matter how much I might enjoy it going down an hour later, I am lethargic, and I do not want to move. So eating McDonald’s would be a really bad idea for me. If I wanted to have a lot of brain power, I wanted to be creative. I knew I had to write some emails or I had to prepare a podcast for you guys, right? You combined really yummy food with a good space.

That’s also good. Let me combine both of those for you and give you an exact example of where I have success and where I fail in my life. In the morning, I drop Olivia off to school like most moms, and I come home, and in the morning, I’m usually really excited. I’m really excited. My brain’s firing. I’m so creative. Like, I can do anything. I am superwoman, all right? And I have to try to protect that time and not try to have too many early morning meetings, because that’s where I can create.

And. And I am a creator, right? I love being in that creative energy. When I was. When. When I was knocked down and dragged out in that stump that I told you about last episode, I really didn’t have a much creative energy. I just didn’t. And so being like, yeah, I got the creative energy. I’m back.
It’s really cool. I have another side story. Maybe I’ll tell you about the end. It’s about sourdough. I’d tell you to remind me, but this is a one way conversation. Okay? So in the morning, I could get into my office, and I just start working. And I work, and I work, and I work, and I work. And I might have, like, maybe a green iced tea.

Or sometimes I make a mixture of. It’s like water, a little bit of ice, and it’s protein powder, collagen, and nescafe. It’s like instant coffee. And I, like, do an immersion blender, handheld blender, and immerse it. And it. It kind of, like, feels a little bit like a light frappuccino, and it’s yummy. But then I forget to eat, and I stop eating, and I just work, work, work, and I go down all these rabbit holes, and they do all this stuff, and I’m like, so excited for myself. And then I kind of, like, look up, and I’m like, oh, shoot, I am famished.

Like, like, hangry. Like, get in my belly, and I will just go and pull anything off the shelves and start eating, and it’s terrible. And that’s where I fail. So I know that, like, when I get back from dropping my daughter off, if I make a little snack plate, lovingly inspired by Nicole. Oh, gosh, I forget her last name. She’s this awesome creator that I follow. I I forget her name, but she talks about a snack plate. You know, it’s basically making your own, like, little charcuterie board.
So with intent, when I go to the grocery store, I get hummus and I get carrots. And because I like crunchy stuff, I will never just be watching tv or Netflix and chill and be like, oh, let me go grab a bunch of carrots and just start becoming a rabbit. But if you put me in front of my computer while I’m working and you put, like, a little smorgasbord in front of me, I will eat that thing without even realizing I’m eating it. And so why not trick myself into nourishing my body? So I’ll do hummus, I’ll do carrots. This is gonna sound funny. I did a reel last week while I was cutting up strawberries, and I was inspired by one of my clients who did a video on cutting up strawberries. You know exactly who I’m talking about if you follow me on social and on the podcast, because I’ve talked about it and I did that, and because I cut up all the strawberries instead of leaving them in the package, most of the time I buy strawberries, they sit in the package, and they wither and die in the refrigerator. I’m like, don’t tell me what to eat.

But if it’s already cut up like that, guess what? I get to put those on my smorgasbord. And then all of a sudden, it’s like I ate it. And so my point is, with food, it’s gonna look different for everybody. And like I said, you know, it’s not about changing everything all at once, but it’s just about being more aware and conscious. This weekend, I showed my daughter for the first time how to make homemade pasta and sauce, and it was so much fun. I remember when my dad, you know, used to do that with me when I was little, and I also used chat GPT because I had three bananas that were, like, brown in the refrigerator. Again, that’s where fruit goes to die in my house. And I said, hey, chat GBT.

I got three bananas, and I’ve got cacao powder because I bought it because someone inspired me to, but it was still sealed. I’d never even opened it. I was like, I have almond flour. I have all these, like, healthy things. I got oats. I don’t really use this stuff, but it’s in my pantry. And I said, give me a recipe. And so it gave me this really delicious.

It was like this chocolate banana muffin that I made. And I was like, oh. And then you know what also happened in me? And again, I’m just talking. We’re just on, I mean, don’t you forget this. We are on a road trip right now. Okay? I think I might do this every road trip. And I, um, I felt. I felt like it was an act of love to myself.

I felt as if I made those for someone and it gave them away with that pride. But I started feeling that towards myself, and I was like, wow, this is another. And I was just really cognizant, like, aware of those emotions, those feelings. It wasn’t just I was trying to get rid of the bananas. It was I was also trying to nourish my body with, like, healthy ingredients. And I didn’t know, and I didn’t want the overwhelm of going on YouTube and searching for something or going on, on Google and, and scrolling through all these different things and, oh, yeah, I have this, but they don’t have that. I just leveraged AI. I literally opened up chat GPT and I talked to it and I rambled just like I am now.

And I said, hey, these are all the ingredients I got. Give me a recipe. And it was amazing. So what I’m trying to say is, we talked about space. We’re also talking about food, because food will have an impact on you. Just become aware. You don’t even have to do anything. I just, I just want to encourage you to be aware of what it is.

It’s not, oh, I need to eat an apple because someone told me to eat an apple because that’s not ever going to work long term. Right. But if you can just start replacing little things. The last podcast I told you, I was terrified that if I got all glassware instead of plastic wear that it was gonna break. That was like the most ridiculous thought. And I actually laugh about it now. Watch. I’m gonna go break a plate tonight, but.
Or dish. Anyways, so all of this stuff, if you had really great food, in your body, and you had an inspiring place to work. I know you’re smiling in your head right now, maybe even on your. On your mouth right now, because how amazing would that be if you were inspired by your space and you had all the energy in the world? You fueled your body. I just had to go by Costco and get gas to, you know, drive back up home. If I put sugar in my gas tank, I wouldn’t be driving on the freeway right now because it wouldn’t run. And I think that’s what I was doing to my body for a really long time. I still do it because I’m not perfect.

I’m human. Sometimes I put sugar on my body, literally, and I’m like, why aren’t I calm? It’s like, really? So think about it. What little, small things can you make just to see what kind of impact it has on you the next time you have a choice, because you always have choices. What can you do? I also found that it was really encouraging for me to try new foods at Costco, because Costco lets you return anything. So, granted, yes, I don’t need, you know, a 32 lifelong supply of something, but if I get it and it doesn’t perish, why not just keep it until I can use it and then know that I can just return it if I don’t like it? All right. The last. And I think the most important thing is people, and I want to preface this because I think a lot of us have. Well, some of us might be in situations where you just can’t change things.

my heart goes out to you. If you are in a situation where it’s an abusive situation, whether it’s physically, verbally, financially, and my heart goes out to you, that means that you’re in survival mode right now. But for the sake of this conversation today, I’m just talking about the people that are in your life, the people that you can control, the people that you choose to hang out with or not choose to hang out with. It could be that pto mom who annoys the heck out of you and cancels all the time, and then you have to explain to your child why they can’t have a playdate and then deal with their tantrum because they’re too young to understand that might not be a good person to connect with. Right. But you keep doing it because your child wants to. Maybe there’s a. You know, well, we’re gonna.

see. You know. Or you don’t tell them until you actually meet up, because you don’t want to break their little heart again. Maybe it’s a person in your life that you consider a friend, but if you really think about it, they only call you when they need you, and they’re never there for you when you need them. They never ask about you. They never show up for you. They don’t even know the deepest, darkest secrets, or they don’t even know what you’re struggling with or celebrating right now because it’s like they only care about their side of the street. It’s a one sided relationship.

I think a lot of us are on autopilot with who we allow into our life. I think a lot of us are afraid of loneliness and isolation, because if you’re lonely and you don’t have things to do or people to talk to or people to hang out with, absolutely, it’s lonely. However, what kind of space could that open up for you to discover and learn more about yourself? I remember 20 years ago when I first started therapy. My therapist told me my homework was to go out to dinner by myself, and I about, like, suffocated. I thought that was the worst thing ever. Fast forward 20 years later. I got to dinner by myself at least once a week now, and I take great pride and joy in it. Sometimes I’ve had someone that’s like, hey, can I join you? And I’m like, no.

As weird as that sounds, sometimes if you’re on a journey of loving and loving yourself, respecting yourself, knowing yourself, sometimes I think we’re afraid to even just be alone with ourselves. So we allow these other bad relationships in our life because if we didn’t have them, then we wouldn’t know what to do with ourselves. And those relationships distract us from having to think about, work on, and deal with ourselves. Right? That food distracts us because, oh, now my stomach hurts and I need to take it. I need to take a nap. I just had a big Mac. Oh. You know, it’s just another day.

This is just how it goes. I’m always tired. It distracts me from maybe being more successful than I could be. Do you see what I’m saying? Like, what things are we using in our life to take us away from our greatness? What things are robbing us or stripping us from our excellence? This is going to look very different in everyone’s life. All right? So this is not a one size fits all, and you need to figure out how to apply it to yourself. But your space that you’re in is going to have an effect on how you feel the food that you put in your body, the fuel is also going to have an effect on your production. And the people in your life are going to lift you up, or they’re going to suffocate you, or they’re just going to take up space, which is the worst. And I just.

I want to invite you to take a deeper look at yourself. Take a deeper. Those things affect our life, personal life, our business life. And when you can look at those things and you can see how they are affecting it, again, it’s very slow. It’s like, like a snail slow pace. And I see people get really excited. They’re like, we’re gonna change everything. They pull this lever, everything’s changed.

And then they can’t maintain it because it’s very. It’s shocking, right? And that’s why I just want to encourage you to just become aware. I’m not saying to kick everyone out of your life. Get a great space, only go to good space, is only eat food. And if you don’t, you’re failure. That is the furthest thing from the truth, actually. You’re a failure if you do that, because nobody can maintain that. And I think the very first thing is just becoming aware, just being conscious, just thinking about who is around, what are you putting in your body, what environments do you find yourself in, and what can you control, what little things can you change? And when you do, how do you feel? It’s gonna help.

It’s gonna. It’s gonna change things. It’s going. I say this all from personal experience. You know, I really do. I know I need to move my body. I need to move my body. If I don’t move my body, I feel lethargic.

And if I feel lethargic, I start feeling depressed. And if I feel. Start feeling depressed, I start having dark thoughts. That’s me. I know that going to this one gym because I stopped for a couple months, I was like, oh, I could do it at home. No, for me, I love the ritual of going to this club. It’s not just a gym where I walk in and out it like it has a steam room and a sauna. The sauna’s too much.

I live in Arizona. I already live in a sauna, but I love their steam room. And when I’m in the steam room, I have my earbuds in. And I’m working on a book currently right now. It’s called radical acceptance. And I was listening to it a little bit in the car, too, but, like, I have it stack and that comes from atomic habits, which is another really good book if you’re looking. It’s a nice, short, quick book, but great ideas on how to change, like, things in your life, and. But I realized that I love going to this place.

I love that they have classes. I go to yoga. I never would think of myself as a yogi. But guess what? I’m not doing hot yoga because I will pass out. I am not doing all the bendy yoga because I’m not flexible. I probably could work on it. It’s just not something that I’m focused on right now. But you know what I go to? It’s yin yoga.

There’s a bunch of old people in there, and it’s basically holding poses for, like, five minutes at a time. And they’re pretty easy poses, and you kind of listen to your body. But that’s the thing. It’s taught me to listen to my body and certain poses. I just changed my arm, and I see how all of a sudden it feels completely different. And I could never just do this in my living room because there’s too many distractions. Distractions. But when I’m in this place and I’m doing it with all these other people and I get to listen to the instructor, she said something two weeks ago that I loved, and it was.

Most people say, you have to see it to believe it. I say, you have to believe it to see it. And I was like, I get goosebumps telling you that right now. And it’s because of. I know that I need to. It’s not just I need to go to the gym. It’s I’m gonna go to the gym. It’s.
It’s mel Robbins. Five second. It’s 54321. I’m gonna do something. Five, four. I’m gonna get in the car. 54321, I’m gonna walk in the gym. 54321, I’m gonna get upstairs to the weight room.

Right? Sometimes I go and I do my weights, and I’m only doing it for 15 minutes. But you know what? My muscles hurt, and I’m sweating, and that’s better than nothing. And that’s what I tell myself. Is it the most efficient all the time? No. But I got there, and I did it. And then if I’m just feeling, like, really secluded, I just want to be by myself. I’ll get on the treadmill. You know what I do on the treadmill? I don’t do the hot girl walk that everyone else else does.
I’m not at a 5% incline or ever 15 minutes at a five, whatever it is. Oh, gosh. We’re at 28 minutes, guys. Look at me go. I am on a decline. I’m on a 3% decline because I realize that my body feels better that way. And you know what else? I ran three whole minutes last week. I don’t run.
I’m not a runner. I haven’t run since, like, field hockey and call and high school. Okay. I hate running and not a run. I’m not built for running. I’m strong. I’m sick, as I’ve been called. I’m just built different, right? I ran, and I was so proud of myself.

And then I went straight down a locker room, and I got right in the steam room because I was a sweaty mess. I was walking. And then I decided to run, and I just focused. And so, doing all these little things, I put myself in an environment that it felt good. I ate food because I knew I needed energy for that. And every day looks very different every time I go to the gym. I haven’t been able to go the past five days because I’ve had Olivia. And then I just went down to see Liz.

I’m not going to beat myself up, but Liz and I just took a beautiful walk this morning. A three mile walk up and down all of these hills. If you were watching my stories. I called it the Teletubbies hills because that’s what it looks like, the Teletubbies there. I’m waiting for teletubbies to just come over the hills. So my point is, as I need to draw this to a conclusion. Wow, this is so. I really hope you guys have liked these, because it fills my soul just to sit here and chat with you.

I’m thinking of a couple of you in my head, by the way, while I am talking. And I would love, if you’ve never met, I would love to meet you. I would love to talk to you. All you gotta do is get on my calendar, jumpconsulting.net 20. Like, let’s do it. Let’s talk. I want to know who you are. Let’s make this a two way conversation.

I want to hear your struggles. I want to hear your celebrations. I want to hear your dreams and your hopes and your challenges. It fuels me. Give me fuel, give me brain food so that I can keep doing this for you. Because right now, I’m just shooting in the dark. I hope that you guys like this. And so really pay attention and think about where are you spending your time, what space and what space does it.

What does the space that you’re spending your time in have an effect on you and your body? Then think about the food and how do you feel after you eat certain foods. Just take a mental note. Your body is going to tell you. And then take a mental note of the people that are in your life. Do they make you feel good or bad? Do they drain you or do they, or do they build you up and encourage you? Right. Think about all of that and I can’t wait to hear your responses. You get to do this, guys. I really do think I’m going to be changing my motto.

You really do get to do this. You get to decide if you want to eat those foods or incorporate food, new foods in your life. You get to decide who you want to keep in your daily, weekly, monthly life. You get to decide the spaces that you’re in. Did I say all those spaces? Food and people. You get to decide all of that. It’s all up to you. And then let me leave you with this last thought.

And this is going to be a mic drop. You get to decide. But a lack of decision is also a decision. I know.
