Welcome back to another episode of Bella in your business. My name is Bella Vasta from Jump Consulting. Guess what? We’re gonna keep talking about AI Today. I just got off a really awesome better marketing with Bella call where we talk all about marketing on and offline. But then we also talked about how AI is literally helping people market so much better than what they could have done in like 75% less of the time. It’s absolutely amazing. I literally got hot and sweaty because I, I put my desk up high and I was talking and it’s just so fantastic listening and ask, getting like, seeing people actually, like, have these breakthroughs and use it in all the different way. Like, there’s so many different ways.

So many different ways. I mentioned on the last podcast I was going to let you guys know how I’m using it in my own personal life because I think that to understand the different things that you use it for, you know, just in. It’s not just for business, but for life. I think it’s, it’s pretty cool. So let’s see. This week I helped, or last week rather, I helped a client create a bot for care notes and a bot for her handbook and manual so that her staff could just like, you know, ask her bot anything. It’s pretty awesome. It’s very agentic, which we’re going to talk about today.

I also was going through the woes with some things with my daughter’s IEP and the team. And of course, if you guys are parents, you know that kind of anything that has to deal with your child is sometimes a little emotional. And I really needed to understand some of the terms and the verbiage and AI really came through for me on that. Another funny thing is that someone inherited some contraption from their great grandfather and they posted about it on a local Facebook group and they were like, what is this? And everyone had all these different ideas. And I took that picture, I put it in AI and it told me what it was. It was actually something that you can load bullets with. It was pretty, pretty interesting. And then what else did we do so much? Like, so much.

I, yeah, I’ll, I’ll kind of keep it at that. But there, there’s, there’s a lot more things, but you don’t need to know everything, right? So I hope you guys are having a really super good week. I hope that, you know, this is really getting your brain flowing. This is probably about the fifth or sixth episode that I’m talking about AI. So clearly, if you’re listening to this and you’ve listened to the other ones. You are definitely interested and I’m just wonder what is the thing that’s holding you back from jumping? Right. I am literally here with the biggest parachute you’ve possibly got. You will land on target if it’s up to me.

And like I mentioned last episode, jump into The Mastermind. It’s 1 77amonth with a 25 gift or coupon. Bella. 25. You can get that for 25 off. It’s just month to month. There’s no long term commitment. And I guarantee you that I will make you back your first month’s membership fee if you meet me halfway in the first week.

All right, let’s get into the show today. I thought this was something that I needed when I first started getting really involved with AI and like listening to all of these podcasts with people that are way smarter than me. And it was all of these buzzwords decoded, right? It was just really over my head. I didn’t quite understand and I just, I needed to figure it out. So before I get into that though, it, according to a recent study by Servon Global solutions, a whopping 95%. That’s right, just 95%. In just a couple of years, everyone’s going to be using artificial intelligence for customer relations. But the good news is that AI isn’t something to fear.

It’s a powerful tool that can help you work smarter, connect with more clients and grow your business like never before. And the reason why we’re talking about this is because it’s going to be like this elephant in the room and I refuse for my jumpers to not be educated on this. And with all of this, I mean, your mind is blown. You probably can’t even wrap your mind or you probably think this is still hype and that’s okay because, you know, there’s all these stages of grief because you literally are going to have to like, you know, you’re. The old ways are going to go away like they’re dead, they’re going to be dying. So you’re going to go through stages of grief and one of those are acceptance. And your mind’s going to be blown because, like, mine sure was. But the good news is that AI is not something to fear.

It’s a powerful tool that can help you work smarter, connect with more clients and grow your business like never before. And I’ve already got bunch of jumpers that are already doing that. The key to understanding what all the jargon really means, and that’s exactly what we’re diving into today. And I wanted to make this podcast because I know I’m going to be referring to this one a lot. If you’re in my marketing program, you’ve heard me talk about evergreen content, and this is definitely going to be evergreen content. In fact, it’s probably going to grow because I’m sure there’s going to be more words that are going to be added to it. But I want you guys to make sure you understand the glossary of this new AI, because it might be one of the things that’s holding you back. I’m going to break down seven essential AI terms in plain English so you can cut through the hype and start harnessing the real power of artificial intelligence.

Get ready to level up your AI IQ and maybe even impress your tech savvy friends at the next conference or networking meeting or something like that. All right, so AGI is Artificial General Intelligence. First up, AGI, which stands for Artificial General Intelligence. This is the Sci Fi level stuff. Think less Siri, more ex machina. AGI refers to AI that can think, learn and problem solve across multiple areas, just like a human brain. It wouldn’t just be good at one specific task like scheduling appointments or analyzing data. AGI would have human like flexibility and even creativity.

Now, before you start punching or picturing robot receptionists in your in your pet business, we’re not quite there yet, but today’s AI is considered narrow, really good at specific jobs, but not adaptable like human intelligence. Yet. However, we’re inching closer and closer every year, I would argue every month, and pet businesses should expect AI to progressively get smarter and take on more complex tasks. Like literally. Do not rule it out. It’s. It’s. I keep saying AI is never going to be as dumb as it is today.

In the not so distant future you might see AI powered training tools that can fully customize programs for each dog’s personality, or virtual veterinarians that use machine learning to diagnose issues from smartphone photos. The possibility are both exciting and a little mind boggling. For now, the AGI buzzword is more about painting a picture of AG of AI’s long term potential, but it’s a good reminder for businesses to keep an open and curious mindset. The AI of tomorrow may look very different than the tools we’re using today. Flexibility is key. The next term is my favorite because it’s about AI stepping up and taking initiative. Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence that doesn’t just respond to requests, but proactively takes action to achieve goals. Oh my gosh.

I can’t even say like I’m literally going to say this. I’m not even going to hold back. Once we get these, and this is like fully available to the public, we won’t really need assistance anymore. And I know that’s really hard to wrap your brain around, but Most of the AIs we interact with today, they’re purely reactive. You ask Alexa to set a timer, she does. But with agentic AI, the software has autonomy to make decisions and take actions on its own based on its understanding of your objectives. So let’s say you run a dog walking business. With Agentic AI, you could set a target of 20 new clients a month and, and your AI assistant could automatically optimize Google Ads, send personalized follow up to prospects, and even suggest new walking routes to keep your pups happy, all without you lifting a finger.

It’s like having a hyper competent marketing and operations manager who never sleeps. Sounds pretty nice, right? And you might be wondering where I fit into all this. Bella. You have better marketing with Bella. I do, but we’re not there yet. And as I move into this AI space, I have honestly become more and more of an optimizer for a lot of businesses and not just in the pet industry, which is actually really thrilling for me. It’s taking people doing business in 2024 and beyond or and behind and, and showing them how to optimize their workflow so that they literally can like go play more. It’s literally like, I mean like AI.

Agentic AI isn’t complete. Set it and forget it. You still need to give it clear goals and guardrails, but it can take so much of the daily grinding off your plate, freeing you up to focus on the big picture. Some of you guys might have heard or seen that I probably was the first one in the pet sitting industry to have the ChatGPT’s operator go ahead and book a visit. Book dog walks. That’s pretty darn close to what I’m talking about. So here’s my challenge to you. Think about one process in your business that you’d love to put on autopilot.
Booking, consults, restocking supplies. With the rise of agentic AI, that might be more possible than you think. Start exploring tools that can learn and act autonomously. It might just change your life, or at least your to do list. All right, this one I want you to bear with me because we might get a little political, but I promise it’s relevant. I don’t get mad at me for this, okay? It’s called Universal Basic Income, or ubi. It’s the idea that the government should give every citizen a set amount of money each month, regardless of their employment status. It’s often talked about as a potential solution for the job displacement caused by artificial intelligence and automation.

Now you might be thinking, bella, what on earth does this have to do with my pet sitting business? But hear me out. If AI does end up replacing a significant number of jobs, which is still a big if, it could majorly disrupt the economy as we know it. And I’ve listened to so many podcasts on this, millions of people may be out of work and struggling to make ends meet. In that scenario, having a universal basic income could be the difference between your clients cutting back on pet care services or continuing to book with you regularly. It’s sort of a safety net to maintain consumer spending power even in the face of big technology shifts. And that directly impacts your bottom line as a business owner. Now, I’m not here to argue for or against ubiquitous, okay? There are valid concerns around funding incentives, the role of government versus private sector. But I do think it’s important for business owners to pay attention to these bigger conversations around AI and the future of work.

The decisions we make as a society will have a ripple effect on every industry, including ours. And it’s like the natural progression when you’re talking to people and they’re like, it’s going to replace jobs. Okay, and then what? This is when people start talking about UBI and I just want you to know what it is. All right, pop quiz number two. When did you think about the future of AI? Are you more of a glass half full or half empty? Do you imagine a world where robots have taken over? Or one where AI has solved some of our biggest problems, like cancer? This is the central debate around artificial intelligence. Will it lead to a dystopia or a utopia? And then the reality is it could go either way. On the dystopian side, which basically means, like doom and gloom, there are definitely some concern scenarios concerning scenarios. We’ve all seen black mirror episodes where AI runs amok and starts making some very dark decisions.

There are valid fears around job loss, privacy erosion, and even the existential risk of super intelligent AI we can no longer control. But on the flip side, AI has the potential to create incredibly positive change. Imagine a world where personalized AI tutors give every child a top tier education, where intelligence systems reverse climate change and diseases are cured before they can even spread. That’s the utopian version that many AI proponents are working towards. So where does that leave us as pet business owners? Firmly in the middle. I’d say it’s our job to be realistic about both the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for our industry. On the opportunity side, AI could help us provide better, more personalized care for every animal. It could make our marketing way more efficient and effective.

It can automate a lot of the grunt work that keeps us up late at night and but we need to be proactive in addressing the potential downsides. That means staying vigilant about privacy concerns and how we use our clients data. And it means always keeping the human touch in the services we provide. Because no matter how advanced AI gets, there’s no substitute for the genuine connection and care. Ultimately, I believe it’s up to us to shape the future of AI in our industry. We can either sit back and let it happen to us, or we can proactively harness these tools to make pet care better, more accessible and like rewarding than ever before. I know which side I’m on. Like what? Which side are you on? So we’ve covered a lot so far.

We talked about AGI, which is like the sci fi dream on a human level. The agentic AI can take autonomous actions and help your business reach its goals. UBI Universal Basic Income and Dystopia versus Utopia to shape proactive and responsible AI adaptation. I hope you’re feeling smarter already. I had to like try to figure out what all these were when I started listening to this stuff a long time ago. But I’ve got three more key terms for you and if you’re loving this episode, snap the quick screenshot and share it on your Instagram stories. I’d love for you to tag me at Bella Vasta so I can repost and give you a shout out. All right, let’s get back to it.

Hallucinations. And no, this isn’t like AI just took some psychedelics. It’s, it’s glitches and it can range from like silly to serious. On a harmless end you might get some wonky automation that says like chocolate is actually really good for dogs. But on the other side on like a high stake one, it could be something like a self driving car, hallucinating, thinking it saw some like you know, a person, a pedestrian and swerved into oncoming traffic. So what does it mean for you as a pet business owner? Well first and foremost take the content with a grain of salt and check it over. And always fact check and the same Goes for any AI pricing or financial tools, right? If it suggests you increase your rates by like 500% overnight, then clearly that’s something you’re going to have to look into. If you do spot an AI hallucination, report it.

Because the reported issues to software provider. Just like humans, it learns the best from constructive feedback over time. The next thing I want to talk to you about is automation versus augmentation. So the biggest fear around AI is that it’s going to automate away all our jobs, leaving us humans twiddling our thumbs while robots run the world. But I’m here to offer you a different perspective, one that’s less doom and gloom. I like the idea of augmentation rather than automation. Instead of AI replacing humans, what if it just made us better at what we do? Think about the difference between like a calculator and a math tutor, right? A calculator just crunches numbers. The math tutor figures out what your skills are and plays to them, teaches you new techniques, catches your mistakes.
That’s what I see the AI in the pet industry for. I see it as a tool that’s going to help you get rid of the tasks that are taking you away from your greatness and from your. Your. Your divine talents. Right? It means doubling down on the things that make you uniquely valuable to your clients. The warm welcome their dog gets when. When you, when you see them at the door, or the way that you remember every cat’s favorite treat. Like all that stuff.

AI can’t match the power of a real human connection. And that’s your superpower. So the next time you’re evaluating AI tools for the business, find out. Like, think about, is it automating away my expertise or is it freeing me up to bring even more value to the table? And that’s a really good way to look at it. And the last thing I’m going to talk to you about is singularity. And it’s a kind of a doozy. It’s where artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence and keeps on gaining IQ points at an exponential rate. Now, to be clear, we’re not ever like, we’re nowhere near there yet.

But it is something to think about. And what and you got to think about what does it mean for you, the humble business owner just trying to keep tails wagon and litter boxes clean? In short, probably not much. But singularity is still the stuff of science fiction. And at least in February 2025. On a more personal note, I believe the prospect of singularity is a powerful reminder to stay human centric in everything that we do, to be unique, to bring the human element to it, to a place that, like, nobody can really just, you know, replace. Those are the qualities that are going to make us powerful as humans, and they’re the ones that we, I hope we never lose sight of, no matter how advanced our tools are. Now, if this is interesting to you, which I’m pretty sure it is, if you’re still listening and you’ve been listening to the past couple podcasts, this is my personal invite to you to come into our community, the Mastermind, where you can learn alongside your colleagues, other people that have the same businesses just like you, that are learning things in my trainings in 10 to 15 minutes each and learning how to reduce the time spent on things by about 75%. They’re literally reducing costs in their business and reducing time so that they have more time for their family, friends, and other things that they, you know, want to do.

The reasons why they started their own business, they could rule their own life. Join us in the Mastermind. It’s only 177amonth. As I said last podcast, I guarantee I will make you back $177 in the first week if you show up and work with me. All you got to do is go to jumpconsulting.net forward/mindmind. That’s jumpconsulting.net forward slash mastermind. Thank you so much for spending your time with me listening and learning and pondering AI. I’m going to be back again next week with another topic and I cannot wait to see you again.

Remember, friends, when your life gets you down, always keep jumping. Bye now.
