Welcome to another episode of Bella in youn Business. As you know, my name is Bella Vasta. And today, while I’m not necessarily driving down the road, I’m going to be talking to you like I’m driving down the road. It is currently Saturday morning, October 26th, as I record this. It’ll come out on Halloween, October 31st. So I hope that your ghouls and goblins are happy and you’re having fun or entertained or just kicking back and keeping your light off and keeping your peace at your home, which is something that we’re definitely talking about today. Gearing up to do this every Saturday morning. My daughter has occupational therapy at my house.
Something I haven’t really talked about before because we were in NICU for 182 days, which is six months. She was. If you’re just joining me now, I birthed one of the smallest surviving female babies on the planet. Yes, smallest surviving female babies on the planet at 12 ounces back in 2014. Everyone said she would not live like nobody said she would live. She was an inch shorter than a Barbie doll. Her skin was translucent, her eyes were still fused shut. She literally was a fetus outside.
It was 28 weeks, five days, so three months early. And she was measuring a 22 weeker. For those of you who may or may not know, at 24 weeks, the lungs are the first vital organ to or the last vital organ to actually develop. And then after that, everything’s kind of starting to grow. But because of that and because of being in NICU for so long. And then when we came home, she was on quarter liter of oxygen. So we had a 50 foot cord of oxygen oxygen concentrator in the middle of my house.
I had a cord baby on cord. And then I also had one of those long, tall, kind of looks like a coat hanger, like something you would hang, like clothes on walking around that had a bag on it that we would feed her because she also had an NG tube. So she had a tube going down her throat, a tube going down her nose, and I had to put those in. And 40 hours of nursing during the day, 40 hours of nursing at night. I do not say this to be oh, pity me or anything. I’m just kind of saying this to give everyone a background. If you’re just joining us, if you’ve been with me for a while, you’ve known this story. I say this for two important things.
I’m going to be talking about peace and healing and growth today. And I’M also going to be talking about something that just happened because of not crawling. You have no idea how important it is for babies to crawl. Our fingers have so many muscles in them that I think it’s like the second most next to our mouth for things that need to be getting developed. And so when babies are crawling and they’re putting pressures on all of their different phalanges, if you will, it really helps. And so my daughter, her hands are very stiff. Her. Her, like if you took someone’s arm or their wrist and you just started flopping it around, it would start flopping all different directions.
Right. Hers is very stiff. And so we work extra hard on things like writing or tying our shoes or putting our hair in a ponytail. Right. She’s very, very, very smart. But occupation therapy, which is basically like fine motor skills, is actually something we work extra hard on. So Saturday mornings, 8:00 to 9:45, we have Emma come. And Emma’s been in our life for, oh, my gosh, a long time, probably eight years.
And so she’s grown up, or Olivia’s grown up with her. And today, right before I was about to do this, we had a little bit of a meltdown. And my child is a really happy child. She’s so loving and. But we’ve been having these issues where you cry. And I’m gonna get to the point of how this relates to your business, I promise. And she just started crying and everything, and she just wouldn’t not, like, be consoled. So I got her on the rocking chair and we do this thing sometimes.
I might have talked about it before or we talked about it on my daughter’s podcast. She has a podcast. She sees me do this and she wanted to do them. So every week we did it for our friends and family in the summer. So when she’s not in school, she has podcast episodes. And so we sat in the chair and we hummed, and I just go. And she, like, puts her head on my chest and she kind of, like, cuddles into me. And then she hums and she’s like, mom, that was so peaceful.
That’s so beautiful. And if you look up humming, what actually happens when you hum? Your brain can’t think of anything else. It’s weird. And not only that, but this might be a little woo for some of you. And I’m not being woo. It’s, like, scientifically proven. Like, the vibrations in your body literally change, and it does calm you down. And it takes however many minutes for different individuals.
And so we Just did that. And she was like, mom, that was so beautiful. I was like, okay, now go pass that piece on to Emma. You know, like, we want to make sure that it’s peaceful. If I can hear you while I’m recording my podcast in the office, you’re not passing peace on to Emma. You know, you’re yelling, you’re jumping around, and she’s excited. She’s a kid. She’s 10.
And so I say this all because the more that I learn how to parent her, and if any of you guys are parents, you know, you have to learn how to, like, kind of parent yourself first before you parent your children. And it’s one of the biggest things that I’ve learned. I’ve talked about inner child healing on this podcast before. Often, you know, when I really start talking about real deep things, this. This is the stuff I talk about. This is the stuff I talk about with my friends on a daily, weekly basis. And I’m not kidding. And we’re like, yes, like, you know, I did good here.
Oh, gosh, I did really bad here. Or my inner child wants this or whatever it might be. But it’s really just giving ourselves the things that we didn’t necessarily have growing up. For whatever reasons, our parents only were able to do what they knew how to do. Just like I’m only doing what I know how to do for Olivia. And. But the first person that we all have to parent is ourself. And when we’re freaking out online or when we’re, you know, upset and angry, it’s because we start, we feel a certain way and we’re not feeling.
We’re not. We’re not at that ultimate state of just letting things flow or accepting or as Mel Robbins would say, let them. Which, by the way, she just came out with her pre launch for her book, the Let them Theory. I highly suggest you go check that out and get your pre order. I did. I’ve heard her talk about it a lot and I just. I love Mel Robbins. So she has a podcast and some books.
Go. She has the 5 second rule. Go check all that out. If you haven’t. Anyways, yeah, so the first thing that we can do for ourselves is like, parent ourselves. And so it’s been actually really interesting for me this month. Every single year since 2018, we’ve had launches for better marketing with Bella in October and in March. And this March, I’m going to be really honest with you guys.
I started feeling very. I can’t believe I’m going to Tell you this, I started feeling very irked. I started feeling a lot of different emotions that I was like, shoot, like, what’s going on with better marketing with Bella? Like, not that it’s, it’s bad or whatever, but before we used to be like the only, the only camp in town, right? And now everybody is a business coach, everybody has a marketing program, everybody has a mastermind or some sort of a monthly subscription model. Okay, that’s good. And it’s good because I also know I’m not for everyone. I know that some people like me. Obviously, I’m talking to the people that like me if you’re listening to my podcast. But I know that I don’t, I don’t resonate with some other people.
And personally, I’ve been really questioning that a lot lately because, see, there’s this new level that I’ve been preparing to go to this past year. And I’ll tell you guys more about it soon. And there’s these things that have been coming into my life that I’ve been really trying to keep my eyes wide open and really understand it. But throughout all of these decisions, I’ve been asking what gives me the most joy in what things, when I do them, am I the most happiest and where am I the most peaceful? So just like I was telling my daughter, let’s be peaceful, let’s find that peace, let’s pass that peace on and let’s not live in this heightened state of, you know, tantrums. Because Even if we’re 30, 40, 50, 60 years old, we still have tantrums. I mean, let’s admit it, it’s our inner child, like yelling and screaming and not getting their needs met. And so I have been using a lot of things that have been coming in my life and thinking, where am I the most happy and peaceful? Where am I in my zone of genius? Where do I feel like where I’m. I’m living my God given talents and my gifts and the things that I’ve been uniquely given to give to this world that not everybody has.
We all have our unique gifts and talents. I encourage you, if I can take a side note, to really think about what are you really good at that everyone else isn’t or that a lot of other people aren’t? And if you’re. Sometimes we’re just so shut down, right? Like our creative. We don’t have one creative ounce in our body to think about this stuff. Maybe you want to ask people that are around you, like, what makes me unique? What what’s really different about me? What do you think my superpower is? And lean into that. I really encourage you to identify what is it that makes you amazing and feel free to pass that into your business. That’s part of what, when we say what makes your business unique, that’s part of it. It’s like, what do you have that’s a superpower of yours that not everyone can do? It doesn’t mean that other people also do it, like, can’t do it.
Other people might have the same gift you do, but the general public does not all come equipped with the same superpowers you have. Or as I like to call it, the Care Bear stare. For those of you who are 80’s bab. And remember, the Care Bears, they all have like their own superpower. They come together for their Care Bear stare, make this big old rainbow, and are powerful together. So what I’m trying to say is that I want you to think about what do you need to do in your life to preserve your peace and your peace and what is really the most authentic to you. And, and that’s where I’m really starting the next phase to lean into. What I, what I felt is I started seeing all these other people pop up with essentially the same exact thing that I’m doing.
Masterminds, talking about hiring, talking about how to get more clients online. And you know, some people talk about how to get more clients online. I talk about how to get clients, employees and partners. Some people talk about just a hiring system. I talk about all the details in the hiring system and what comes before and after the hiring system and how to measure it and how to evaluate it and how to systematize it and, and pass it off to other people. You know, I do things differently. This week I posted about how jumpers do it differently, how jumpers are, you know, gonna start being double certified, vet endorsed. And what was the other one? There was another one.
Oh, award winning. Yeah. And you know, these are, these are marketing angles that when you get there, because that’s what my clients are doing right now, that no one can really touch you in your area. And these are different ways of looking at things. These are, these are pushing past your own self beliefs of I can’t ask for an endorsement, I don’t, I can’t ask, I can’t, you know, get an award. It’s too much money to get double certified. Like, come on, like, it’s not. All of these are amazing investments that get you like 10 times the ROI and allow you to do things that other people can’t.
I’m not going to go into the marketing side of that. And the rah rah shish Kumba and like, get on my. I’m going to try to stay off my soapbox today because I wanted this one to be a little bit more heart centered. But with that and seeing all of the other things that are out there, Right. One could feel like, wow, that’s competition with us. It’s really not. Because what we do is so uniquely different. I am unique.
There is no other Bella out there. Right. Thank God. Right. And other people can be doing and tackling the same types of problems because at the end of the day, let’s face it, there’s not really that many things you can do. I’ve been saying this for years. There’s two things you’re going to solve in your business. More clients and more employees.
And everything can be put underneath one of those two things. You have a problem, it’s underneath one of those two things. Getting more clients. Oh, your onboarding systems. Oh, you need marketing. That’s getting clients. Getting clients, you know. Oh, you’re.
You need a software system that’s getting clients. Advertising, getting clients. Oh, you want to scale your business and you want to increase your revenue and you want to increase. That’s getting employees, you know, so there’s always these two things and admittedly, you know, there could be a hundred people in the industry, there could be a hundred coaches out there and there’s not really anything new that people are going to say. It’s the delivery that, in which they give it to you and it resonates differently with other people, with different people, and that’s fine. I cannot not be myself. I cannot be a bull in a china cabinet. I cannot be bold and sometimes cuss when we’re on our one on ones.
I can. I always tell people I lost the sugar to sugarcoat things a long time ago. And I’m Italian, so I have no personal space and I’m east coast, so I’m very loud. But in the same realm. It’s because I care. I cannot pretend I don’t care. I cannot not answer your DMS at 9:30 at night because you have a trunk or treat the next day or. Okay, no, let me give you an example.
Yesterday I’m in the car wash and I’m. I’m texting with one of my clients on what to do for her trunk retreat. That was that night. And I knew it was that night for her because we had A call that morning. I’m not going to wait for her to get on a call with me again to help her execute this. This issue that she had. I’m going to text with her in Facebook Messenger DMS while I’m going through the car wash, because that’s how much I care. And so when I come at it with, like, fire and fury and passion, it’s because I know what I’m saying.
And it’s in those same realms that it really hurts me. This week, twice. Twice I’ve seen people post about things that they got burnt on. One of them. I have no problem naming names. One person posted in many different groups. You probably saw it because she posted in every single group. That’s how pissed off she was.
Rightfully so. But it was at Moyer Foster. And I learned back in about 2015, so nine, 10 years ago, that that company was corrupt for reasons that my own lawyer who looked through the policy was like, oh, no, this is shady. This is really shady. It’s like, I’m not even going to go into it. I’m not going to go into it. But on top of that, their customer service was really starting to fall back then. And back then, Dennis Stowers was there.
I don’t know if he’s still there or not, but. And then throughout the years, I’ve heard some more horror stories. Well, today I heard another really massive horror story, like, really potentially, like, made a dent in this woman’s business. And she was irate, rightfully so. And I was like, girl, I’m really sorry that you had to go through that, but I really wish that you reached out and talked to me first, because I’ve been saying this for 10 years, but it is a catch 22, you guys. And I would love to hear your thoughts. Please, please advise me. Because anytime I go and I speak ill, ill about something that I know, they have failed multiple people.
It’s not just, oh, I don’t like them, they have failed multiple people. And I want to be like, don’t use this company. What happens is people say, oh, Bella, you’re just jealous. Bella, you’re only recommending this other company because you get kickbacks. Well, let me tell you something. First of all, I’m very upfront and clear about the kickbacks that I do get from the very few companies that I actually put my name out on the line for. And you guys know who those companies are, number one. Number two, any company that I actually put my name out there for, you bet your bottom dollar I have a personal contact.
Those companies that I light up if they are not giving and producing what they say they’re going to for my people. So I go to bat like mama bear protecting her cups. If that ever happen, needs to happen. Third, if there’s ever anyone out there that is duping people that, you know, it’s, it’s really. There’s a lot of. How do I say this? There’s a lot of glitter out there, but it’s not necessarily gold. And people see the glitter and they jump all over to the glitter. And what I just want to encourage you is to get an appraiser and make sure that that glitter is gold before you put your reputation or stake business, your business on it or invest money into it.
Okay? Because just because it’s popular doesn’t mean that it’s going to help you. And that’s going to lead me to my biggest point, that this is really, really, really important. But before I get to that, I just, I want you to. You should be able to literally talk to people, multiple people, and you should be able to see multiple recommendations of what has happened with programs or coaches before you invest in them. And I’m not just saying, oh my gosh, she helped me so much. It was so amazing. That’s great. That’s like level one.
But what I want to see is how much did your engagement go up? How much revenue did you get? Like this week? I just shared in my community. Someone said that they have this. They like, don’t forget to book for the holidays. And they’re like. I told them like, you guys got to do this. And they’re like, we never get anything when we do it. I’m like, well, you’re probably doing it wrong. Let me see what you’re doing.
Sure enough, it was the most generic stuff. I wrote this email for them and One girl got $2,000 of booking in 48 hours from it. Five people, $2,000 worth. My yearly membership, my annual membership to that group is 1524. So already she just made her membership money back. Ding dong. There’s another one that I had a client that went over to something that was glittery and we had this whole thing built out. And she went over to this other system and this person was like, oh, you need a nurture sequence.
And here’s the five emails. And she basically put a wet blanket over this fire that we created. And I was like, please stop sending those. Every lead that you got. When they get these emails, everyone’s gonna put you in Their spam box. It’s not about nurture, lead campaigns and, like, sending out tips and tricks. People don’t give a about that. Yes, I just censored myself.
It’s spam. It needs to be about them. It needs to be building relationships. It needs to be dropping. What do they call it? Egg. What does Taylor Swift call it? She drops eggs. Easter bunny eggs. I forget what it is.
I don’t know. Anyways, you need to make sure that before you go hitch your wagon to someplace they have enough gas and they’re going to get you to your goal, and they should be able to prove that to you before it happens. Okay? And beta testing is great, but that’s exactly what you are. You’re a tester because they’re trying to figure out if their program is worth their weight in gold yet. So just be careful where you’re putting your time and your energy. And if you really want to know my thoughts on things, you can absolutely reach out to me and I’ll give you pros and cons. I just told someone this week, do not buy better marketing with Bella. Why? Because she didn’t have a website yet.
She had a really great social media, but she didn’t have a website. I literally told her. She goes, hey, I want to. I want to get that extra spot you opened up for better marketing with Bella. And I said, all right, what’s your website? She goes, I don’t have one. And I said, well, then, I know this is pretty unconventional, but I think you need to get a website, and here’s who you need to go to. And this is exactly what you need to do to make it successful, because it’s not enough to just go, oh, I’m going to get a website. There are certain things, actions that you need to take to make that website successful.
And we had that conversation. What business coach do you know says, don’t buy my product. Go over here to another vendor and get that, then come back to me because your success is my success. I’m not just selling you guys to. I’m not at that point in my career where I need to sell to you to make a buck. I’ve been doing this 20 years. Nor do I want to. Let’s go back to the piece.
I don’t want to convince anyone to do anything. I want willing people who are so excited to work on their business who might need accountability and motivation. So let’s go to my very last one, and this is going to piss a lot of people off. And I’m Seriously, I am going to be hell and piss fire and vinegar this month. So you might want to follow me on Instagram, because I am fired up. I am out of my relaxation. Like, let everything coast for the last two years, and I am out of my cocoon. My creativity is on fire.
My excitement is off the charts. So if you haven’t known me a very long time and you just came into my. My. My group, like, you know, a year ago, you’re gonna see the old bell is back, and I am. I’m on fire. And this is what I have to say. This is the first thing that I have to say. And you’re gonna see this all over my socials.
Stop learning. Stop.Do not listen to another podcast until you actually put into place or put into action something. I know my. My team is gonna kill me for saying this. If you are on Bella, which obviously helps our downloads, but you’re not doing anything with it, then you’re wasting your time.
And I want success stories. Why I do this is because I want you to achieve your goals. All right, that’s me. But there’s other people out there that all they’re doing is signing up for programs. All they’re doing is downloading classes. All they’re doing is the next webinar, when really they already have this information. You’re very smart.
What you need to start doing. Stop doing is learning so much. And you need to start implementing. But people are afraid to implement because what happens if it works? They’re also paralyzed in that fear. They’re also making themselves so overworked and so busy because they’re not putting their priorities first. Oh, boy. We’re at 24 minutes. I want you to stop learning, and I want you to start doing.
Maybe I’ll. I’ll do this again. I actually have more on my list. Maybe I’ll do this for next week. Stop learning and start doing. Done is better than perfect. I want you to start doing things, and I want you to fail fast. I want you to do things, and then I want you to tweak them.
I want you to do things, and I want you to set a goal. I want you to do things, and I want you to analyze. Is it working? Is it not working? What heart is not working? Is it not working? Or am I not working? Ooh, baby, please stick with me. Hopefully by now you understand my heart, but I’m telling you, you don’t need to sign up for anything else. You don’t. You need to start doing this stuff that you’ve already signed up for. You need to start taking action in the things that you’ve already signed up for, wherever it is. I can’t speak for anybody else, but I can speak for my stuff.
Step up, meet me halfway, because the results will blow your mind. I guarantee it. Let me say that again. I guarantee it if you meet me halfway. So to recap, find your peace, find your gifts. Ask me if you need any recommendations so you don’t have to have bad experiences. I’ve been in this industry for 20 years. I can tell you who to go to and what to do and put my reputation behind it.
Okay? If I say something, I mean it. And then stop learning and start doing. I’m going to stop it there. Although I could probably talk for another half hour. I sincerely love you guys. I’ve started ending that saying that because I do. Like, this is a labor of love for me. And if this is, you know, if you’ve never talked to me before, I want to get on the phone with you.
I want to hear about your struggles, your challenges. I want to talk to you for 20 minutes. I want you to come with me with one specific problem. Yeah, you can say hiring. Maybe you can say, I don’t know how to get the right people for hiring. That would be a really good one that we could talk about. All you gotta do is go to jumpconsulting.net 20 and get on a phone call with me. I know a lot of you won’t.
And the reason you won’t is because that would be having to do things instead of just aimlessly, passively learning. When you get on the phone with me, I’m going to tell you what you need to do. And then you’re probably going to feel overwhelmed because your life is you, you. You don’t have a lot of time. And then you’re gonna. It, it’s this. It’s this negative cycle loop. And you’re like, oh, shoot, I have to do this.
Well, I’m not gonna do this. Then you’re gonna beat yourself up for not doing it. I’ll give you really small action steps. You gotta meet me halfway. You gotta be disciplined. And if you really want that action and you want goals and you want step by step stuff, and you want to get me in your business Monday through Friday, you know where to go. You know, I got a community. Jumpconsulting.net mastermind those are the people I’m texting back, going through the car wash.
You guys, I love you. I’m going to stop talk. I need to stop talking. Oh, boy. And I do. I think I just. I need to center myself more and really think about what’s in my heart and what I want to talk to you about. Because every time I do an episode like this, that’s not like talking about one topic and steps or things you have to do, I think that it.
It resonates more with you. Let me know if I’m right on that. I need to know. Please, just shoot me a quick DM something. You can DM me on Instagram, on Facebook. You could shoot me an email. BellaJumpConsulting.net, whatever it is. I’m really easy to reach.
All right, you guys, you get to. Because you get to always keep jumping. And I love you. I don’t know how else to end it. Bye.
