Unfortunately, I have one huge number one reason why PPS sucks:

It only works for you - Americans.

Leashtime was THE only software company for pet sitters willing to work with me to help "internationalise" (because if it will work for Australia it will pretty much work for elsewhere) the software.

As far as I'm aware it doesn't really work outside of the USA.

This is a great blog post! Thanks for the reminder that fear has no place in our business or in our lives. We have a God that is much bigger than any obstacle we might face! Thanks Bella!

Hello Bella,
I just came across your website a day ago, and have been reading your posts, and am very intrigued by your coaching. I too own a pet sitting company that I started in 2003. I was very ambitious when I started it, but am not anywhere near where I thought I'd be today. I was hoping to be making more money, have employees or independent contractors working for me, and have time to have a life. Instead, I'm a slave to this business, and not making enough money to live the lifestyle I would like. My business has taken a hit during the recession, and to make up for the loss I've been helping another pet sitter with her calls (like an independent contractor). I love animals, and love what I'm doing, but I don't know if it's burnout, or I need to start doing things differently. I've been thinking of going back to school, and go back to the corporate world, but I don't think that will make me happy either. I've worked hard to keep my business going, but I feel like I can barely make it float now.

I would love to hear your input. Thank you for your time.

I agree that social medial is an easier way to communicate, but after we send out our enewsletters, we always get atleast 5 clients who respond to the newsletters and book appointments. I feel like we put ourselves in their face and it pays off. :-)

I've been looking into software as I plan to jump from going solo to employing people and you've convinced me to go for this one! It's just a pity that the cost for 2-5 users is almost 5 times the cost for a single user - I'll have to get four employees at once to justify the price :)
